OK. I know if I use a purely physical sunblock, I put it on top, the layering doesn't matter. BUT....say my skin is dry. I always wear a serum. If the BB cream is part physical, part chemical, and I want to wear a moisturizer, does it have to go on top of the skin, or serum, So I can't wear a moisturizer?
I've read that you cannot put a chemical sunscreen on top of a moisturizer because it will not penetrate and work. If a serum is thin enough, it will. SO what's a girl to do if she wants to wear a moisturizer, under a BB cream that is not a total physical block. I'm thinking Dr. Jart, Or the New Uvidia XL La Roche Posey, or Sulwhasoo Showise.......
Sun protection is number one but not sure these BB
creams have enough moisture to do the trick in the day time.

Your right sunscreen is always last of your skincare; before makeup.
I would start with a serum, then moisturizer, sunscreen. I consider BB cream or tinted moisturizer as almost makeup and would apply last. |

I wear a serum on my face then sunscreen. On my neck which is much dryer; I apply serum, moisturizer then sunscreen.
I wait a few minutes for the sunscreen to absorb and not "dilute" the sunscreen. My sunscreen is La Roche Posay Hydraphrase UV 30 and is chemical. |

For me it is very problematic to find the right combination of layers.
I use Philosophy Supernatural Poreless/Flawless Tinted Primer, because it gives me a nice mate finish.
But it rolls out on almost any serum or moisturizer except for Lancome products.
I really hate to be limited with my choices, but each experiment is pretty costly and end up on my shelf waiting for weekend or vacation, when i don't have to put BB. |
