Hi!
This is the routine I've been using for ages, in the last few weeks I've added Skinceuticals Serum 15 and the B5 serum, my skins beginning to feel a little dry and flaky though so wondering what to change. Thinking of a different cleanser but this is the only one I've found that keeps me zit free, or upping my moisturiser or dropping the Forte night stuff to every other night or something?!?! Help please!
AM
MD Forte Glycolic Cleanser II
SC Vit C & B5
Kinerase or Dermabutter depending on my mood!
SPF product.
PM
MD Forte Glycolic Cleanser II
MD Forte Rejuvenationg Eyecream and Lotion.
Silkia Cammellia Oil (or Kinerase occasionally).
I had a dermabrasion treatment a week ago which left me sensitive and blotchy (I left off the Glycolics for a while)but I seem to have recovered from this. Not sure if what I'm experiencing is the result of too harsh a treatment or the addition of Vit C or a combination of the two!!!! Eek! am turning into incredible flaking woman!
PS - I work in an air conditioned office which is VERY dry and am outside a lot with my neddies so my skin can get dehydrated, though its combination, usually a bit of Cammelia oil doea the trick - not this time!!! |

Sorry for the late reply, not quite sure how we all missed this post. Are you still having these issues?
I don't really think your routine looks all that drying. I wonder if this can be a delayed reaction after the dermabrasion treatment... However, vitamin C does tend to dry out the skin but the addition of B5 usually helps with that. I would suggest that for now you maybe should add a facial spritz during the day to help with moisturising in an air-con environment. I would also suggest doing a moisturising mask a couple of times a week. If that doesn't work then try dropping off the vit C and see if your skin goes back to normal. If it does then I suggest you try a Vivier serum which is not as drying as the SC serums tend to be. If not then it might be time to re-evaluate the rest of your regime. |

Hi Mabsy,
Not to worry - my skin has settled down now thanks - think you were right about it being a delayed reaction from the dermabrasion. I did use a spritz and also the Dr H Rose cream (also the cleanser for a few days)and everything has calmed down again!
Think the Dermabrasion may have to go onto Ebay - think it is just too much for my skin on top of using the MD Forte & Vit C.
Thanks for replying! ![Very Happy](images/smiles/biggrin.gif) |
