Hi I have just started using careprost (1 week) and I am due to have a touch up of my semi-permanent eye liner at the beginning of June. Will the careprost affect this please?

I use careprost and have permanent eyeliner. I don't think one affects the other, but it is probably not a good idea to apply the careprost until you are completely healed after your makeup procedure (about a week). In the long run that is not going to affect your results with careprost.

Just read this on another forum:-
I'm having 'permanent' liner done upper only, I've had the first pass a few weeks ago and i bled. It also faded within the 2weeks. I went back today for the 2nd pass but she had to stop due to the bleeding. She thinks it may be due to the lash growth Carepost, so now I will stay off of it until my next visit in 2 weeks.
I hope I don't lose my lashes, they are so thick and long, I rarely use mascara.
I'm also having my brows redone. I don't like the shape from perm. makeup I had done 12 yrs ago. So today since my liner had to be delayed, she started removing some of the old brows. They are suppose and remain very dry for a few days and scab up. When all heals (can take 2 months), then she will reshape them with the perm makeup.
I just want to warn people that the Carepost or Latisse may cause a problem when having permanent liner done. She does the tapping technique not using any electrical equipment.
I want my carepost Sad

Thank you very much. I was getting a bit worried. I think I'll just stop it a few days before just in case, and about a week after as you suggest. Hopefully as you say it won't make a difference.

I definitely noticed that my permanent makeup started fading quickly after I began using Latisse/Careprost.

I doubt I will get permanent makeup again unless for whatever reason, I stop the Careprost.

The woman who does the permanent makeup said that she can tell Careprost/Latisse users - they bleed more Sad

I had the the tapping type permanent eyeliner and it did not last at all - it was gone in a few weeks. It just didn't seem to go deep enough into my tissues to work. I had to go to another technician and have the tattooing procedure. I use Lumigan for lash growth and it doesn't have any fading effect on my liner.

I have the tattooing type with the electric needle and am due for a top up. Will ask my tech if she has any experience of it.

Does anyone use a lash nourishing mascara while using careprost? I am going on holiday in May and don't think I'll have been using it long enough not to need anything on them. I usually have individual lashes but thats what caused the problem in the first place, alongside the chemo loss!!! Can anyone recommend a decent one please?
