Pudoodles has asked me to review a product I mentioned in another topic about Stri-Vectin: Prescriptives "Magic" is a silicone-like gel in a tube that camouflages fine lines. While it doesn't completely mask the two vertical lines between my brows, it definitely softens the look of them, and will do the same for other facial lines. I apply it as a last step, as makeup blending is difficult on top of it. A little goes a long way. Also, it seems to prevent oiliness/shine where applied, so if, say, it's used on the forehead or any part of the T-zone, it creates a more matte appearance. It's one of those rare products that I've used over and over again for a few years now. I'd be interested in hearing about any similar product anyone's used that may be better. Until then, it's a favorite staple in my cosmetic bag. |

Thanks m.april! I just checked the Prescriptives website where it's described as an "elastomatic liquid" -- what does the product feel like? You wrote "gel" - so does it go on like a gel, then dry? Does it have colour? Does it layer? Can you tell I'm extremely curious? Thanks!

Hi - "Magic" isn't exactly a gel, i.e. it doesn't go on wet and then become dry, but it isn't exactly a cream either. It has a silky texture. The color resembles silicone caulk - not perfectly clear, but not tinted. The product instructions say to apply it under or over makeup. I don't wear foundation, but when I've used it on areas where I also use concealer (around the eyes), I've had trouble blending if it's under. Also, it will "catch" powders. In short, it works best on moisturized-but-not-made-up skin (for me). |

Very interesting! I'll have to stop by Holt's tomorrow, pick one up and give it a whirl! Thanks again!
