There was an item on this on yesterday's Alan Titchmarsh Show.
Dr Dirk Kremer,a plastic surgeon, was advising on how he would remove bingo wings, then a woman was shown having laser treatment on her arms.
To treat ageing hands, he said how he would use fat injections, etc, then another woman had the ReAura demonstrated on her hands. This was followed by advice on hand creams.
Unfortunately, this item came at the very end of the show and there is no way the ads can be skipped through.

I have used the Tria laser and microcurrent gloves and have had great results with my hands. I have had lessening of brown spots and improved texture on the tops of my hands. Also I use the Adonia stemuTone lotion.

There are so many "at-home" gadgets on the market (like Tria laser as per Toby)... And read great reviews on EDS... Best to research what you can use and see if the gadgets will work... Plastic surgery is a drastic step and there is no turning back if something goes wrong with it....

Perhaps another option that shares some of the positives of either surgery or gadgets is filler (Juviderm, Restylane, etc). Filler can do amazing things and it has the benefit of quick and potentially dramatic results (like surgery) yet it is less expensive, has very little downtime and can be undone. I doubt you could ever get the result of surgery from a gadget, but you might be able to get closer with filler - in terms of lift and volume. It's not the perfect answer, but I think it might be the biggest bang for the buck.

This is true and you must do your own research (and perhaps get some of your friend's recommendation) to get a good injector for the fillers, not just "anybody.....

Just to add, if you are looking to plump up the face there are topicals that can help too: vitamin c and vitamin a.

I also use nia 24 and squalane/macadamia nut oil to ensure my skin is adequately hydrated which gives the illusion of a fuller face- not to mention, you glow with health!

Agreed plastic surgery is a big step, but sometimes people need it. It's a much more dramatic change. For example if you have a lot of excess arm skin, you can get non surgical tightening but it will take years and your results wont nearly be as dramatic as if you have surgery. However like you said, things can go wrong with surgery, and there are scars. So you gotta weight one against the other!

There's only so much topicals, use at home devices can accomplish. Sometimes, you have to bring in the "big guns" to get the results you really want. And still yet, there is nothing that is "permanent." No matter which route you decide to go, there is always a certain amount of maintenance if you want to see continued results.

Hi,

You can find all the videos of the Alan Titchmarsh show featuring Dr Kremer on his website, Harley Street Aesthetics and on his YouTube channel

Hope that helps!

If you have surgery on your arms usually they have to cut your arm open and that is really painful to recorver from for a long long time.

I just had to do something very minor 2 months ago- just a test where they put a dye in your blood vessels to look at your arm (had a problem with my arm.....not cosmetic).

And this test made me 100x times worse and I can't do most things to function now.

My whole arm was left completely bruised and I now have bad shoulder pain and wrist pain I did not have before.

So you can also have bad side effects from even minor things....

And I did follow up w the doctor too a bunch of times.
Apparently I am the only person who is worse afterwards.
I was also told I am the only person he's seen whose fingers on one hand become too red and actually feel too hot, as everyone else hes seen always has the same problem but too cold hands.
Go figure...nothing applies to me...

I don't see that it has to be either/or...why not: and or all of the above?

There are some issues that are best resolved through peels or lasers, some through fillers and others, surgery is the only thing that makes a difference.

I am not a fan of binary thinking, as you can tell.
