Hey all, I got my CSS Vit C serum a week ago and have been putting it on my face/forearms at night, washing my face in the morning and putting sunscreen on. I remember reading somewhere on this forum that vit C stays in the skin for 3 days, so would my protection 8 hours after I put it on (ie in the morning) still be significant? Can someone point me to that study?
I don't like putting it on in the morning, because then I have my sunscreen, sometimes primer, BB cream, and my face turns into a sweaty soup. But is what I'm doing effective? |

What you are doing is fine. There is another thought that it is best to put C (LAA) on the PM anyways since it oxidizes in the light. |

That's what I thought as well and I've been putting it on at night. |

C Serums should be put on in the morning since they offer sun protection (fighting free radicals.) Their greatest asset is wasted as a night cream. Using my DIY C serum has protected me from the hyperpigmentation I am very prone too. I wouldn't leave home in the morn' without it on. My 2 cents! |

I couldn't figure out which made more sense, so decided to alternate, once at night, once in the morning. I don't layer it with anything else but morning sunscreen.
I also only end up using it every 2 or 3 days. |
