I am trying to make a toner by just mixing water and sea salt, but the salt will not dissolve. What could be a reason that the sea salt would not dissolve? I mixed 1 part sea salt to 2 parts water. And does the sea salt have to be organic or natural? I just picked some up from the grocery store. |

Could be fillers or anti-caking agents. Look at the ingredients list. If it says anything else beside sodium chloride (or sea salt or whatever like that), try another brand that has nothing else in it.
Or maybe you just didn't wait long enough. Sometimes salt takes a while to dissolve, depending upon how big the salt crystals are.
Also, some sea salt (celtic sea salt, etc.) has sediment in it. It's so natural the sediment isn't processed out.
Kind of ambiguous but that's most of what could be going on. Good luck! |

Woah, one part salt to two parts water doesn't sound like it would be likely to dissolve at all! Are you following some kind of recipe? Are you sure that you got your proportions right?
That sounds wrong to me, like you'd be applying the equivalent of pure salt to your face. I would not do that. |
