Ok, just a preface, I'm a guy and I can't handle how unappealing my face is with the dark circles around my eyes.
I've tried everything to diminish. Diet changes, hydration, adequate sleep, eye exercises. NOTHING works.
So my last resort is to use makeup. I'm not comfortable about it but I need to do something to remedy my shiner eyes.
What's some makeup a guy could use on eye circles? |

Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer is nice and has many shades.
But have you tried eliminating gluten and dairy and sugar? Its made a big difference in the dark circles for me. That and using an eye serum with vitamin K and chrysin. Good luck! |
I rarely have sugar but haven't really given a non Gluten/dairy diet with serum a go. I'll definitely give it a whirl and use that concealer as a last resort.
Bless you for that |

What made a surprising difference for me was the gelatin/hot water application. I'm pretty sure tanaka massage has helped too.
I've also found that orange or salmon colored concealers work best to counteract the blue & purple in dark circles. You're supposed to use it underneath skin colored concealer. |

I don't think you should be ashamed that you have to use concealer. I bet you would be surprised at the amount of guys to do it!
Disregarding makeup for a second, have you thought that perhaps your dark circles are related to your dietary choices?
Most people with dark circles generally have a high fat, high salt diet. If that sounds like you, challenge yourself to a week of eating low fat, low salt foods and see what happens.
Could be worth a try |

I gave up gluten a couple of months ago and have never eaten a lot of salt. The darkness has been gradually getting worse around the inner corners of my eyes so it's not due to diet. When I was younger I ate lots of crap and didn't have this problem! It's hereditary and due to thinning skin as we age. Certain ethnic groups are more prone to those dark circles. I work with a Jewish woman who has these circles and she is vegan and strictly organic. She is in her forties.
I do think lack of sleep is major.
I use a white pencil, then go over it with nude concealer or foundation, then with an ivory powder. For a man, I'd suggest not using powder. It will crease during the day so just pat it with a finger to smooth it.
Oleda has a concealer that is very cheap and even cheaper on sale this week only. You can see one example of before & after here:

I would go to a MAC or some other makeup counter and ask for help. Getting the right color is important but learning the right technique (getting the right tools) is even more so. |

Another product you could try, that I consider part skincare/part makeup:Mally Beauty Eye Brightener. It's bright yellow but you only use a tiny bit and tap it under the eyes.Really helps diffuse darkness.I think this product would be more suitable for a guy.You can purchase it at QVC or Mally Beauty. |
