Recently, I received a wonderful gift from Magda & her husband: a brand-new PC! Mine to keep, use for home, so that I can do work from home too. Such a great, thoughtful, constructive gift! There never seem to be enough hours in the work-day for me to get everything done in the spa, and I used to go into work between 7:45-8:00 a.m., to try to answer e-mails before we officially opened for the day. However, I usually found myself no futher ahead of the game, because I'd be on the phones at work, while trying to answer emails. Now, however, I can do these from home, before work, and on weekends. Word to the wise: I am often sitting in my pyjamas, t-shirt & knickers, while conducting "business". How's this for a
personalized touch to improving customer relations?! (your's truly is sporting a 15 year-old Donnie Wahlberg t-shirt & skivvies now!)
I am also often downloading music from the Internet while working too. I have compiled quite the ecclectic catalogue of music now, and may never buy another cd again! Everything from Hungarian lullabys sung at the opening theme of "The English Patient", to Marvin Gaye, to ... Judas Priest. Have patched computer through to stereo, and have music playing all the time at my place. Metallica is presently playing, as I write. (Rock-on!) For added effect: I am thrashing my head back & forth, and playing air-guitar, while typing.
Just wondering what programs you're using to download? I am using LimeWire. |

Wow, Magda sure is one generous person. Is she the overall owner of the SPA. How cool must that be...... |

I use a program called WIN MX. It works well!! Lots of live music to download. Curious, are any of you worried about the pirating aspect of dling music?? Meaning, what if we get caught?!? |

No worries here in Canada Freckles - a recent Supreme Court hearing ruled that downloading music is legal .
I usually get my music from private servers, or in a pinch Limewire (Mac version).

I've used Kazaa and Limewire for music, now I'm using BitTorrent but I'm mostly downloading tv shows. We don't get tv down here so it's nice to be able to catch up on the series I like.
I don't know about the legality of downloading tv shows but after downloading The Trailer Park Boys I bought the first 3 seasons on dvd so I don't feel bad.
