I'll have it by this time next week. I'm psyched!
I was saving to buy a Lightstim, but decided I wanted to get the blue and green lights too. Best of all, I got it on sale at Amazon for $71, free shipping.
After I've used it for a few weeks, I'll post in the Product Reviews section.
Those of you who use LED, especially those who use the Aurora, do you have any tips? |

That's very cool. This is the first I've heard of that exact device but it looks mighty interesting. |

I also purchased Aurora from amazon (I got it for $75, the price seems to fluctuate quite a bit from $70 to $95 since I started researching LEDs). Mine was supposed to arrive on Fri but didn't for some reason, I was so excited to try it so I am a little disappointed. I called amazon and they refunded me the money since the tracking says it was delivered but I got nothing. Maybe they delivered it to the wrong house (it has happened before). So now I either have to order it again or hope the package is found.
Like you, I also was going to order LightStim (or StarLite but not many seems to use this one so I can't find much info on it). I decided to try Aurora to start with, to see how I like it, and also for the green light. I don't really need the blue, no issues with acne, and technically don't have hyperpigmentation issues either but I do have 2 small spots on my hand I'd love to get rid of so that alone would be worth getting the green light, if it works for it. |

Yep - I still have a patchy face. CPs really helped clear a lot of it, but not all. I've really got my fingers crossed for that green light magic! LOL |

So my Aurora was found today, my mailman left it in our package mail box but forgot to leave the key for me to pick it up. I was so happy to get it and try it out.
I did my face and hands tonight. I don't like the pulsed mode, the flashing is really uncomfortable to me, even when I close my eyes I can still see it flashing and it makes my eyes hurt. I wasn't even able to use the flashing mode on my cheeks and forehead let alone around the eyes, because the flashing was too uncomfortable for my eyes close and covered with my other hand. So I just did the regular mode (which was no problem at all). I wonder what benefit, if any, the pulsed mode has.
I also wonder why it says in the instruction to constantly move the light around in clockwise circles. Do other devices like LightStim also have to be moved? Why can't I just let the light stay on one spot for some time and then move to another, without having to move it all the time? Anyone knows? |

You could try suntanning goggles - they're pretty cheap on Amazon. As to why they recommend moving the light in circles, I have no idea why. A review on Amazon says that she follows the directions for another, more expensive light (I am assuming Lightstim) with the Aurora and got results, so maybe you don't have to move it. Someone else who knows more about LED than I do could chime in here... |

Yay! It has arrived! I just took it out of the box and turned it on - WOW, it's really bright!
I'm looking at the regimen on their site, and it's easy enough to understand. To follow it takes 24 minutes. They don't say anything about using different lights. Since I want to use all 3 lights, (red for wrinkles, blue for large pores and the occasional zit, and green for splotchiness) I think I'm looking at about an hour for every treatment. Every other day since they say not to use it every day.
Sigh...well, it's not like I don't already waste a lot of time every day, messing around on the computer and such. I can give up an hour every other day. I just hope it's worth it!
I'll do my first treatment tonight and report back... |

Just to give you a heads up, based on my short lived experience with it. When I tried to use it more than 1/2 hour in one session it kept shutting off. After a few tries the following couple of weeks it burned out all together.
I also hated that the plastic cover made "sliding/gliding" impossible (at least for me.) And that was on a clean, dry face.
I was not at all happy with my purchase, which was based of "Marta's" rave. I haven't read her site since... lol.
Wishing you better luck than I had with it. |

Gosh, I hope I don't have those same problems! I did see a lot of "verified purchase" reviews that were positive, so I'm hopeful!
Sorry yours didn't work out - did you try to get a refund or replacement? |

I didn't even try to get a refund.
If you don't try to push it too hard, you will probably be fine. I tried to use it the way I use my other LED and it just isn't made for long sessions.
I hope it works out for you. LED's really are a great tool to have in the tool box..lol |

This is actually the first gadget I've purchased in a long time. I want two more - a Nuface clone and an automatic derma pen from ibeautymachine.com. Then I will be content.
I'm thinking that I might do the green and blue lights in the morning, and the red in the evening. That way it won't wear the thing out (hopefully). |

Update - nothing to report, except that the blue light seems to be shrinking my pores. Pretty cool, although I'm blind as a bat and don't have glasses or contacts, and I could be imagining it! LOL
It is VERY time consuming. I'll keep using it until I see results though. It will be good exercise for my forearm/wrist! When I can't stand it anymore, I think I might save my pennies for this and use the Aurora for "spot lighting":

Is that cool or what? They need to make LED body wraps! |

Update! I'm using the red light every other day, and the green every day to spot treat. I've stopped with the circles and just hold it in place. It takes longer but I feel like my skin gets more out of it.
My skin feels plump and glow-y. I'm liking this! I've been using the green for hyperpigmentation and it seems to be helping, breaking up the stubborn spots, but they've broken up and "regrouped" before. Hopefully they'll keep breaking up until they're gone.
I used the blue light on a surprise pimple that popped up on my back under my bra (that was a pain in the butt, I had to contort myself to reach my back and hold it there for 3 minutes) and it dried up and was virtually gone the next day.
I'm seriously thinking of buying some hair setting tape to tape the damn thing in place so I don't have to hold it. It's not heavy, but it is a huge PITA. |

Update - this gadget really does work. My skin feels satiny smooth. Large pores on my nose are no longer visible. The green light is working, but very slowly. But the red light is the one that I use the most. It definitely smooths and firms the skin and wipes out fine lines.
The downside is the time it takes. Even while watching a video - it's a big pain in my ass. I'm shopping for a big panel like this one, but I want one that has infrared lights too. Anybody got ideas? I don't want to pay $$$$! |

OK - this definitely works! Since the last time I've posted about this, my skin is much plumper, firmer, and very soft to the touch, almost velvety. The green light does fade brown spots and even out tone, but it works very slowly for that. I guess it is worth the investment in time, but I still want to get a panel so I can do my whole face at once. It takes me an hour to do my whole face with this thing - I don't do the little circles, I just hold it against my skin for 3 minutes. Then I use the green on spots. VERY time consuming. I don't know how much longer I can keep doing this, it's a major P.I.T.A.! LOL |

I'm really interested in this for the green light...wonder how that works on rosacean skin? Hoping it might be helpful for my redness/blotchiness that crops up once a month or so? |

The blue light has proven effective for rosacea:

Moving it around prob prevents it from over-treating or burning an area (at least for me using the Baby Q).
I made that mistake and used it too long trying to get a spot to go down and it left a red "sun-burned" area where I had over-treated it with the steady green light. I was watching a movie and got too into it and woke up the next morning with the redness. Worse than the spot, ugh! |
