So I am only 24 but I have MAJOR hollows under my eyes from lack of sleep and hectic lifestyle over the last two years. I've improved my lifestyle but of course the hollows remain.
I read in this thread: /forum/viewthread.php?tid=32377
to try an eye massage technique where you pinch and twist the skin around your eyes. Being a little desperate I tried it but only on the skin on the outer corners of my eye. Not in the tear trough because I was afraid to touch such a sensitive area. Amazingly it worked! I know this is only because the area swelled up right away from all the pinching but my eyes looked better than they had in a long time. I don't know if this will build collagen in the long run, but would it still be safe to do it every day just to puff the area back up? Has anyone tried that method besides the posters in that thread which is about four years old and can they give any feedback.
P.S. Im way too young for fillers right now so I don't even want to think about it. |

When I asked about it some years back on another forum, it was after I was told that it could've have helped my puffy eyes. At the time, I asked if it had helped others who had had the same puffing up...but no one ever responded to that question even though it was asked directly to those who had adopted the practice for the same goal. But my question was addressing puffy undereyes, not thin skin or hollows...so maybe that's why no one stood up to be counted when I asked.
The people who reported positive results in the thread you linked to are still members of this forum, so perhaps you may get some more current feedback if you send them a private message to make them aware of this thread so they can come and answer here. Or they may just respond to you by PM if they prefer. That's what *I* would do if this thread didn't get more responses.
Someone recently started a thread about this idea of pinching but didn't get a lot of responses even though this seems to be a popular thing from your link. That could be due to people not knowing of the existence of the thread. Sometimes new threads get buried by more active ones when the people who might have been able to answer the new thread are offline and so the new threads move further down the page where they aren't so obvious when people log in. A PM with a link to the thread in question is bound to get the attention of folks who have previously raved about this and who could give now give you an update. |
