Have any of you had success with this method of hair removal?
I've read that it doesn't work well at all unless there is an appreciable color difference between the hair and skin.
Although.. someone on a talk show with both light hair and light skin just said hers was successful.
Not sure what to believe, would prefer first hand accounts.
Thanks, BFG |

Hi BFG, I have used the machine below and had great result but I do have dark hair and light skin. The reason I recommend this machine is because it is at Costco and you can use both cartridges and if you don't see any results you can return it, no problem. Also it is on sale right now so it's a good price. It took me a lot more then 2 cartridges to get total hair removal on legs, under arm and bikini line but now I "shave" once every 3 or 4 months or just nuke those areas again and the hair is gone.
I know somewhere on EDS is a thread were they talk about using a dye with these laser so it picks up the color in the pore better but that seemed like a hassle and I didn't need to do it anyhow.

I have light skin and dark hair so laser haïr removal worked great on me.
However, the tech at the spa I it done told me it never works great on light skin with light hair color. She does the treaments if a customer really wants and insists but she tells them it will not probably work good. |

Hi BFG,
I have white blonde hair on my upper lip and tried laser hair removal. I had a series of 6 treatments, without results. (It was painful, though.) Later, I used electrolysis and saw some results after one treatment. I still use electrolysis for maintenance. It is painful, but at least it works for my coloring. Electrolysis might be a better option for you, if the area you want to treat is smallish. |
