I find it difficult to judge a product by the ingredients list..obviously all products claim to have antioxidants and vitamins but it s really doubtful in which concentration.Do you have any tips for judging products?if they really have potential or they are just a bubble.. |

For me, I only look up for ingredient that has been proven (like niacinamide, ceramide, vit A, etc)
As to know the concentration, I usually look up the order of ingredient listed.
It's confusing sometimes, as different actives has different percentage to work (e.g niaciamide 4%, as for retinol 0.5%-1%), so knowing each active's 'background' does help on judging.
just post ingredient list here! lots of sweet ladies here can break it down for you |

thank you for your answers!I m not thinking of a particular cream,is just that I have no idea which one I should pick up from the thousands there are out there in different prices. For example I have EL advanced night repair because I read that it is supposed to be good but still I m not sure how ti compares to other products.I don t know how to pick up moisturizers, eye creams, face masks etc
I know which ingredients are beneficial for the skin ,I just dont know if I can get the benefit from creams and what I should look for |

Zina, I would suggest listing what skin concerns you have, and people can recommend some products to help address them. |

Beyond the great advice you've been given. I find it takes using a product..giving it a chance...and then evaluating. Sad truth..not any one product works great for everyone. Trial and error is part of the process and it costs $$$ and time. |

I don't entirely agree with this. If you are willing to do the research, you can narrow it down to products and gadgets that have evidence to back them and that will save you both time and money. There is no 100% guarantee, but it certainly boosts your chances of success....or if your time, money and/or patience is unlimited - you can find many posters here reporting success with stuff with no independent analysis.....it's really up to you....
I suggest you look around here and search the archives - the best gems here are the old ones. best to you.

I know you didn't - my point was not a shot at you - my point is that we can narrow down the time and expense of trial and error through research, often only a little research.
best to all, BFG |
