I wonder if anyone has this device or used it? It is based on a treatment called velasmooth which treats cellulite and loose skin I am in the (slow) process of trying to lose rather a lot of weight but I am really worried about loose, saggy skin so this product is quite exciting for me as I could use it at home for a fraction of the price of spa treatments.
If anyone has any experiance of this device or such treatments I'd love to hear about it and also I am unsure if I should pick up the device now and use it as I go along losing weight or if it is something I would be better to do once I am much close to my goal weight?
Other options are things like body wraps, dry brushing and derma rolling for stretch marks but I am still unsure about when to introduce these things. I have read about compression garments to help reshape the body major weight loss which is something I'm looking into. I was recommended the Pico toner but I don't have the money for that just at present considering I would need to import it as well.
All advice or thoughts gratefully accepted! |

I do not have the machine nor have used it, but I have used the Fat Girl Slim topical from the same company so I am suspicious. It was one of the most worthless products I have ever purchased. It is heavily fragranced, so I have to wait till my boyfriend goes out of town to use it after it caused a big fight, and when I did previously use it every day I saw zero improvement. The only nice thing about it is the creamy consistency and the clever marketing. |

If you're worried about loose, saggy skin then you don't want to lose the weight fast. You want it to be a slow process; a pound a week or thereabouts. A half a pound a week would probably be even better.
I saw a physical trainer on Dr. Oz one time that had lost weight and got rid of the "bat wings" on his arms by doing a dance move that really worked that area of his arms. I suspect that really working the areas you don't want the loose skin will help a lot. I don't think a machine that works on the OUTSIDE of the skin is going to help this sort of thing too much and you'd probably be spending money on something that isn't going to give you the results you're looking for. Loose skin from weight loss goes a lot deeper than just the surface. |

Thank you for the link to the reviews Frodo!
Ava, I haven't used anything by bliss myself but it must have been a very strong smell to cause a fight . If I get the device I am not to bothered about the cream as I like the nivea gel but obviously I'd want my moneys worth from the kit!
Angela, thank you for your advice regarding loose skin. I am aware that by using the above device I won't magically avoid loose skin and that of course the right diet and exercise plan is key as is not losing too fast. I was just thinking of getting it as another weapon my my arsenal in preventing loose skin!
I'm going into town tomorrow to take a closer look at the device and I will find out if it is returnable is the results are poor. I'm still undecided though
Thanks again for the advice! |

Pandora, I am also focused on losing weight and avoiding sag...anything you can share in your search is greatly appreciated, since I have also been looking at compression garments, etc.
However, I have no reason to believe that microcurrent would really deliver in this instance, and I would want to see some serious before and after pics before shelling out any cash. I think radio frequency tightening and laser options are probably a far better choice.
Btw, I am happy to join you in your weightlss efforts if you need support...feel free to PM me and we can either start a thread here in the Lounge or chat on Facebook. |

Two deficiencies are know to play a role in tissue break down(stretch marks etc).
One is vitamin c and the other silica.
Excellent source of vitamin c is nettle leaf.
Some use diatomaceous earth for silica but i am not sure about the safety of this one.
To be on the safe side i would dry brush and juices many oranges and other fruits.
Oxygenation+hydration +avoiding toxins and you cant go wrong.
Forgot to add avocado oil .And of course avocado internally. Not too much of it though internally as too much of fatty everything can cause inflammation. Juice is the way of renewing tissue fast. |

Some people get very ill and lose a lot of weight during their stay at the hospital.
I wonder if this machine can help with those saggy skin? I would love to hear from others who have this beauty device. |

I have a clunky cellulite massager which does vacuum massage, its noisy and a bit painful and kind of effective. This one looks the same, but with a groovier name. But I much prefer using hand held cups.. the vacuum cups.. for massage , which is more or less the same but more under my control , can be done in the bath, and doesnt make ze terrible noize. Ebay has loads of vacumm cups for very low prices. It's great for skin toning.
If you combine it with dry brushing you're well on the way to good situation, and if you do Maggio's No Lipo Lipo.. well! C'est Fantastique! |

I own a similar device (Philips Cellesse; I think they don't sell it anymore) and I can tell you it is very tiresome to use (and also a bit painful but bearable) which is why I never used it for more than three weeks or so in a row - with almost no results.
It might be helpful if you only have a beginning of cellulite. |

I think that is the name of the one I have, too Chiqui. More or less the same as the Bliss one. |

bethany, its so nice once one starts doing it, isnt it. It feels good, and it works, and its really good for lymphatics.. and then one forgets to do it!
Dont forget the home sauna thing, too.. that's a great way to help the cellulite situation and to detox. |

Well I caved and bought the device today on my way home from being out of town so I haven't used it yet but will try it tomorrow!
I had a look for the Philips device but could only find second hand ones, a bit worse for wear on eaby so I will stick with the bliss device but yes it looks to be pretty much the same device.
I imagine it will be some time before I can give any sort of review as I intend to use it for massage during weight loss which will probably take some time. I am more concerned with loose skin than cellulite but this is sopposed to help that so we will see.
Catski, thank you for the information about the vacuum cups they look great, do they work for the face as well? I will definitely get some as the price is great. The Carole Maggio No Lipo Lipo also sounds good but it seems a little tricky to get in the UK. It reminds me of what Dr Ali (a famous ayurvedic doctor here in the UK) said about keeping skin tight when losing weight to massage very firmly and to pinch and twist the skin.He also advises on dry brushig which I do before my shower most days! Btw what is the home sauna?
Panoslydios, I have Silica tablets (from horsetail I think) supplements and eating a diet that is aimed at benefits for my skin is a big part of what I am doing however it can be tricky eating all that great skin food, avocados, nuts, oils etc and keeping calories in check. I have a nutribullet so I have been doing green smoothies recently.
Bethany, it would be great to start a mutual support thread, I have to say I struggle to stay on track as I have to go out of town for work a few days most weeks but it really needs to be done. I feel a lot more positive if I feel I can do it and avoid too much in the way of loose skin. I am not on facebook so if we can do it here that would be great and we can also discuss the various ways to keep the old birthday suit in some kind of shape during the process! I think there are a lot of options, the main challenge for me is keeping up with it all on a daily basis |
