I am based in the Europe and so fed up of constantly having to source actives or pay huge postage to europe ($50-80 for 1-2 products). I travel a bit so making serums is also not always feasible.
I have recently seen some promising serums on eBay which I am thinking of buying. I am thinking of buying from this seller bc:
- The actives/ ingredients used look very good.
- I have emailed the seller and she says the pH of the Vit C serum is about 3.
- I have also asked if she would be amenable to taking out some ingredients i.e. lemon grass essential oil and the seller appears ok with that.
- The price point looks fantastic i.e. $20 for a serum incl postage.
Would appreciate any initial thoughts on these products based on the ingredients.
Also if by any chance anyone has previously bought from this seller would really appreciate your experiences with the products and or seller

I have discovered that having stuff sent from countries like Taiwan is way cheaper than having it sent from the US. It can be worth your while to find out from where things are sent - some of Bulk Actives' actives are actually sent from Taiwan. And of course there's SEA. Having it sent from there to me here in the Netherlands is actually cheaper than local mail here. |

I personally would not buy home-made serums from someone on Ebay. Many reasons....quality, what standards do home made products really have, etc.
I really prefer to buy from a professional distributor such as EDS. I know the product is fresh and it is shipped out right away. |

What sort of thing have you found, Lotusesther? I am in the UK and always trying to avoid US shipping costs! |

As I said, I have found that shipping from Taiwan is way cheaper. I always check the p and p costs before ordering, that saves a lot of money. Inquire at Bulk Actives - not all their stuff ships from the same place. And check out SEA, they ship from Taiwan. Less than 3 dollars for a package where local mail would charge me somewhere around 7,50, I was totally amazed about that. |
