Hi,
I have been using Tretinoin (Airol 0.05%) and Hydroquinone (Obagi Nu-Derm Clear and Blender) on and off for a few months (continuously for 1 month, tretinoin 5 nights per week). Am using a very gentle skin care regimen from La Roche Posay.
I have been having a hard time using Tretinoin and Hydroquinone continusouly, as I would get very read and peely and therefore I have eased my way into it over the last few months.
I am seeing some overall improvement (less spots, more even texture and skin tone) but there are a few things I am a little worried about:
1. Some days I think my scarring (a few pitted scars) look worse and I also notice that my skin has a bit of an "orange peel" texture, where I also notice pits that I haven't seen before and where I can't remember having spots. Other days it looks better again, but I am worried my scars and texture might actually get worse over time from these products, or that I am developing new scars from them.
2. Lately I have noticed, on the sides of my face, small skin coloured bumps underneath the skin. There are quite a few of them. I can't feel them when I touch the skin, but can see them when I look closely. It looks like very small milia.
I was wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences and, if so, if this improved gradually or what you did about it?
Many thanks |
