I have a puffy fat deposit on upper eyelid - inside corner and it is worse on my left eye and not really noticeable above my right eye..although my upper eyelids are on the puffy and full side.
It all came on very quickly about a year ago and it is prolly just age but for 1.5 years I have had a problem with allergies and eye problems like they get so sore at night I can't keep them open, burning, itchy, feel like somethings in them etc. etc. I just started Restasis and Pataday has not helped much. I'm mentioning this because i hope that once my eye problems are under control, the puffiness and fat deposit will magically disappear..har har. I also did a 3 week water fast last May and became very dehydrated. 2 weeks after stopping the fast, I woke up one morning to my eyes so swollen, the shape of my eyes completely changed and it was really startling. That lasted for a few days and it seems like my eyes have not gone back to normal and become extremely puffy very easily.
I read about lecithin being used under eyes and I would Love to know if someone has used it on a similar problem to mine - above the eye and very close to the opening in the corner.
Has anyone heard about another cream (topical fat burning lotion) or laser or even a derma roller having any effect on this area. I have read so much about under eye bags and wonder if they are the same thing, only in different places?
I do not want to get surgery if i can help it.
Thanks!! |

I would personally look into lymphatic drainage massage, as it sounds more like excess fluids than fat pockets.
You can find some videos on YouTube detailing the basic process. |

I had an upper and lower bleph in 2009 by a prominent, young and very talented plastic surgeon and loved the results. Then about 2 years ago, I woke up with a fat deposit in my upper left corner about like you described. I went back in to see my plastic surgeon about it since I had been told no other touch-ups would ever be needed. His reply was a flippant, well your getting older and you have gained some weight. Awesome bedside manner since I had sent him many referrals, needless to say I was not a happy camper.
Long story short, he said that I needed to have touch-up surgery and a few stitches to have that fat deposit removed to the DISCOUNTED tune of 800.00. Hmmmm.....
Haven't done the touch-up surgery yet but I would love a way to remove it manually/topically if at all possible.
I will look into Bethany's suggestion as well.
Let me know if you find any good links!
Thanks! |
