Hello,
Around 3 weeks ago, I made a simple Vit C recipe I found on here, containing ascorbic acid, ceravu lotion, vit e, and distilled water. For the first 2 weeks, it was fine, but it is now starting to burn....quite badly, the last time I used it. Is that how you know it has gone bad? |

"Gone bad"??? that can mean so many things but I assume you mean is it harmful. As long as its not growing mold or bacteria or the consistency has changed its not "bad". Oxidized LAA is still usable by the skin but not as efficiently.
Too many variables to say what the problem is for you:
• what is the pH? if its lower than 3.5 it might be irritating for you;
• what other products are you using?
• when do you use it? how often? if you are using it right after shaving it is too acidic and is burning the skin;
• are you using a sunscreen?
etc. |

I wash my face, use toner, then put this on a bit later. The only thing I used different was a self tanner for he face. I did not test the pH...just followed a recipe on here. I used it for 2 weeks without an issue. It just started to burn over the last week. |

Does the toner have alcohol? that might contribute to irritation.
Without knowing the pH its hard to say what you have there. Id back off using it and see if your skin gets better. LAA is very irritating for some ppl and the irritation is cumulative. |
