Ok so I have been looking at some of the Vit C serum recipes here and in-particular Kassy's. I have tweaked one of Kassy's abit and added some other actives. So my question is will this recipe work? Also I am not sure how to go about mixing it up and in what order?
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
15% Vitamin CE Ferulic Serum (30 ml)
Distilled water, 18 ml (60%)
L-Ascorbic Acid, 4.5 grams (15%)
1% Hyaluronic Acid serum, 3 ml (10%) (total 0.1% Hyaluronic Acid )
Camelia Oil, 2.1 ml (7%)
Green tea extract, 0.6 grams (2%)
Vitamin E, 0.3 grams (1%)
Ferulic Acid, 0.15 grams (0.5%)
Propylene glycol (to dissolve FA), 0.6 ml (2%)
Polysorbate 80 (emulsifier), 0.3 grams (1%)
Optiphen (preservative), 0.15 grams (0.5%)
Niacinamide (B3), 0.15 grams (0.5%)
D-Panthenol (B5), 0.15 grams (0.5%) |

Thanks so much for this. I think it's easy sometimes to get carried away with all these great ingredients. Also recently learned that Vit C and Glycolic acid should not be used together for very similar reasons. |
