Hi there - I spent a lot of time on this wonderful website before I had three little boys! Now that they are a little older I finally have time to think about important things: like what to do about the dark circles under my eyes that I have now! I did do a few searches to see if there was a list on the forums where people talked about their favorite concealers but I must not be doing the search right, as I am sure this information is out there. So I am sorry to be redundant - but does anyone have a favorite that they recommend?
So glad to see that good old EDS is still up and active as ever. Love it! zazu |

I've run the spectrum on this...topping out at buying Benefit "Erase Paste" from Sephora. It is great stuff. but $23 or more.
However, I find "Camouflage" by Hard Candy at Walmart just as good if not better. Such great coverage. My only complaint is that it is so good..the squeeze applicator can dispense too much..because all you need is half a pea size to cover under your eyes and anything else on your face.
Amazing stuff and I think it costs under $7. |

Hi zazu I was watching TSC (The Shopping Channel) the other day and it featured IT Cosmetics. They have "Bye-Bye" concealer that will camouflage dark circles. They were able to conceal tattoos. Though never tried it, you may wish to try it and see if it will make a difference in your dark circles... Another thing to consider is to get enough sleep and rest... Good luck! |

I have been loving Cle de Peau concealer for years. Expensive but lasts very long. It is creamy and smooth, provides mate finish. |

Here is a link to Glamorflauge. I got mine at Walmart. It is often out of stock. This is also great for covering any redness around nose.

Maybe I will try that one next!
Hard Candy used to be an expensive dept store line years ago and was discontinued and now brought/bought by Walmart or whomever.
So that it only costs $7 is great as all their items used to be $20++ before at Sears and other dept stores...
I have clinique all about eyes and it is quite drying and matte. trying to use that up somehow...
It cosmetics is pretty good and waterproof too.
I like the new Mavala water resistant conceler if you can find it that is...
Or just tried Maybeline Fit me shine free foundation stick and really like that! |

I am a big fan of Amazing Cosmetics, Amazing Concealer. It ain't cheap at $28 for the small tube, but it comes in more than 20 shades. It gives really good coverage but may not last well into the day, so I usually touch it up by about 3PM. Possibly a light coating of powder would settle it in better. I need to try this! You can find it at Ulta or Sephora.

I think the most important part of concealing dark circles is to counteract the color of the circles before applying skin-colored concealer or foundation. Bobbi Brown makes a good color corrector, which is the one I use, but I believe other lines also carry them. Once the color of the circles has been dimmed or eliminated, concealer can be applied if needed to blend the corrected areas with surrounding skin. (For myself, I just pat a little foundation over the corrector.)

Very surprised to see the corrector you recommended comes in pink or peach?! Never would have thought of using those colors. |

I know, right? The color cancels out the purple, blue or brown tone that shows through under the eyes and on the sides of the nose, making it much easier to hide. Regular concealers just make the circles look grayish, unless they're applied heavily, which then cakes. It only takes a tiny bit of the corrector, like magic. Caveat: I only know about fair skin, as that is what I have... |

Hi RussianSunshine, I am thinking of trying this. Would you recommend it for dry skin? And does it crease on you? Thanks! |

I'm currently liking BareMinerals concealer and their "Stroke of Light". |

I have the Graftobian corrector palette. A tiny bit goes a long way. I use the green on my red eyelids, the yellow in the "blue" shadows of the inner and outer corners, the peach for undereye brightening and the pink to dot onto brown spots. I seldom use the highlighter.
I sometimes then cover everything with foundation but sometimes on the lids, I just put on the powder eyesahadow.

I advise you to use Clarins Instant Light Complexion Perfector , this concealer gives their skin. Some even wear it solo, without foundation, making it "great for those days you don't want to wear makeup but still look good" |

I love Wayne Goss! I watch all his videos - he completely changed, for the better of course, the way I do my eye makeup! |
