I have been using Palovia for a little over a year and have been diagnosed twice with high platelets. I informed my hemotologist about my using this machine on a daily basis and he said it would be a good idea to stop for one month and we can test my blood again.
Does anyone else have high platelets who have been using Palovia on a regular basis??

I am not seeing how that could happen. The Palovera is a fractional type laser and really doesn't have anything to do with the building of platelets, IMO. Let us know what you find out. |

It is creating an inflammatory condition in my skin. That is how the collagen rebuilds because the laser heats up the sub dermal level and the blood is trying to cure the trauma the laser created.
Whenever you have an infection or trauma in your body, your body increases its platelets.
By using this device I am creating trauma every day.
How does the collagen increase?
It increases after the laser heats up the sub dermal level of your skin and then naturally your body increases its collagen. |

The blood is trying to heal the trauma, yes, but your body makes the blood. Did you have this issue before you starting using it? |

No I was diagnosed in December 2012 and I started using this device in September 2012
It was explained to me that when your body is healing, it produces higher platelets, so that is why I see a correlation. |

I didn't know that. My niece has platelet issues, I think it is #8. She bruises real easy and her skin is thin. When she has trauma, like falling down or hitting something with her arm, she gets large hematoma's. Then she is in the hospital getting treatment to dissolve it. Nothing to mess around with. |

That sounds like thrombocytopenia (low platelets), which is what I have. I would be curious if you find out any other information camilledandola. |
