Hi everyone!
I want to start doing Face Exercises. I want it badly, because I´m suffering premature aging and I don´t like it a bit.
So... I have read a lot here (thanks for all the info you girls rock!) and now I know the main Exercises Programs. I know any one of them are good stuff.
I have:
- Tyred looking face. My face is changing because of this. This is because I have CFS(and probably Hypothyroid)
- Sunken eyes and a bit of hooded top eyelid.
- My neck is starting to sag. I have a bit of that thing you call turkey neck.
I want to start with a program that is good, but not too "hardcore" Just want to make my face to look more alive, don´t want (for now) build extra cheeks. And once I get the control (if I can) I will see if I want to change this or that, try something more hardcore, etc.
The most important thing to me is to look AS ME a few years ago.
I really dislike the surprise look in some of the photos of the programs. Really wide open eyes all the time. Too open for my taste. I will scare my boyfriend.
My eyes have an almond shape and I don´t want to loose that.
Thanks all! |

What face exercise program have you seen that gives a surprised appearance? To get a surprised appearance, one's eyebrows would have to be raised abnormally high. I have not seen that from any face exercise program.
What most face exercises do is lift skin hanging over the upper eyelid to reveal the eyelid kinda like the upper blepharoplasty in the image below has done.
(Source www.menkesclinic.com)
The eyes may look more open without the weight of the previously hanging skin pushing down on the lid, but that to me gives a less tired appearance, not an appearance of surprise.
I have been doing face exercises for over 20 years and while my eyes are no longer hooded, they still have an almond shape:

Hi Nonie!!
Thanks for the answer!
I have read/seen much info/programs lately that I will have to go through all of it to find which ones had that look(and I will do before choosing and buying one)After Holidays I will report back on this.
But no, I didn´t mean raised eyebrows.
With "Surprise Look" I mean TOO OPEN EYES.
Some ladies' eyes look worst/forced (surprised) after the exercises. The rest of the face looks better (younger) after exercises.
So for me, looks like some exercises/programs try make you look "younger" by opening up and down the eyes as when you are surprised.
Maybe in some people this is more notizable or maybe some ladies did too much eyes exercises.
I just want to find out, because I know what I don´t want to get from the exercises.
By "Surprised Eyes" I mean; your face looks relaxed but your eyes don´t. They look surprised.
Also, all the people, before exercises have the Iris touching (optically) both the bottom and top of eye's skin.
Well when someone gets this "Surprised eyes" look their Iris don´t touch the skin anymore. the Iris sit in the middle and now you can see a bit of white on top and bottom of it. Like when the doctor push your eye skin down to check if you have anemy.
I don´t know If I´m making mysel understandable
Another thins is maybe is just the photo. Maybe in another photo the person don´t have those eyes.
For example: From the pics you posted the lady on top have the eyes like pre-exercise. And your pic at the bottom have the eyes as I said. The Iris don´t touch the bottom of the eye.
But, I have seen other pics of your eyes, and they look absoluttley beautifull. It´s incredible the change you did on them because of your hoodie eyes genetics. In those pics I love your eyes (and the rest of the face by the way)
So maybe is just a photo thing. Sometimes we look good, sometimes not. I don´t know. I will try to remember to post the photos I have seen on exercises programs. |

Aah...I see what you mean. Wide open eyes as if scared
It could be the photo or maybe it all has to do with Sanpaku--in my case it would be Yin Sanpaku. But since I am not a drug addict or alcoholic, I can only guess any physical imbalance could have been due to sugar consumption? While I do not care for very sweet things, until Dec last year I was a huge soda drinker and had no problems eating a box of assorted chocolates by myself in a few hours (Truth be told, I would probably not think twice about gobbling a box of assorted dark chocolate truffles in one sitting even now!) So who knows.
Plus physical imbalance could mean anything. Back when I had candidiasis, an imbalance in the bacteria-candida relationship was part of the reason for candida overgrowth. So yeah, if Sanpaku is real and does show the state of one's health, then maybe how much the sclera shows has nothing to do with the exercises since it is not common to all doing it. Perhaps the exercises just highlight other areas in the body that need fixing.
Kinda like how being overweight and flabby might hide a growth in your body that is malignant but when you lose weight and an area refuses to budge, it brings your attention to more serious things....
Anyway, one way to decide if a program is worth trying is not to go by results of one person. If everyone else gets the very same results you dread, then chances are you are right and the exercises are to blame. Otherwise maybe those eyes are simply that person's reality and the exercises just confirm it. So if your eyes are not like that, then if no one else's eyes were changed to look like that one person, then most likely yours won't be changed either. |

Wow! Sanpaku, what a word! :)
Yes, wide open eyes as if scared.
I will return after holidays to see if I can find those pics.
The ladies didn´t had that Scared look before exercising so I thought that maybe some type of exercise can open the eyes a bit too much.
Maybe is just as you said, something hiding and when you work the area it pops up like that.
Anyway, thanks a lot for all the info and help! |
