Anyone use this as an antiaging treatment? I saw something called Dremu and is is made from 100% emu oil. Supposed to be a wrinkle fighter and skin plumper. The woman who made it is selling it for $50+ I see emu oil for as cheap as $10. What does everyone think?!
TIA

Is it just me or does anyone else think that the thought of using Emu Oil is GROSS??!!
Call me niave but I didn't actually think that Emu Oil literally came from Emu's so I've just done a search and yes it comes from the fatty pad on an Emu's back! Which then makes me wonder, how exactly is it extracted? What happens to the Emu's? Or maybe I don't want to know.
OK so it's supposed to sort out all sorts of problems, but, gag, I think it's gross!
I'm donning my flame proof body suit and ducking out the door quickly! |

Yep - you don't want to know BUT, emus are not killed for the fatty bit on their back. They are killed for their meat (yes, people eat them!) and the fatty bit is something that would be thrown away otherwise. I don't use it myself but then again I swallow fish oil (and also eat meat (though not emu)) which may not be all that different perhaps. I don't think I would be too repulsed to try this, but I do draw the line at placenta cream..... |
