The purpose(s) of these two products are different! The Hydrating Booster can be added to any of the Dermalogica Moisturizers, to boost the hydration level(s). The Skin Smoothing Creme is a medium-weight moisturizer, nourishing the surface of the skin (normal-dry skin types), while effectively hydrating beneath the surface. The Booster can also be added to this, if your skin is really dehydrated from environmental damage, travelling, etc.
Hydration occurs beneath the surface of the skin. When the skin is dehydrated, it feels "tight", and imperfections tend to show moreso. Moisture pertains to the surface of the skin; flakiness can occur when dry. |
