Hi Veronica, for me YouTube has been very helpful. Regarding beauty goals:
I've spent a LOT of time going through videos that were useless for me, or repeats, but then a GEM or two would appear.
The best YOUTUBE videos I've come accross are some already reviewed here in EDS forums -like Tanaka massage, facial exercises, etc. Obviously the ones that have made an impact and appeared on the forum.
And others that for me are GEMS are related to other massage techniques, home-made oil mixtures or natural "creams" DIY...
And also on natural health energy stuff it is awesome, like Donna Eden's energy ritual or an example of the five tibetan rituals, yes,... youtube is awesome!! |

Lisa Eldridge is the best one I've come by. Another was a trick on the "wing" application. Another was how to apply tightlining.
For skin care, it would have to be this guy who gave a review on MUAC peels. |

I would rather read reviews here or on makeup alley. Skin care is a major issue for me and I need to know the ingredients.
For hair products; naturallycurly forum is the best. |

I really love youtube, I would say that I have learned most of the techniques I use in my make-up routine from videos there.
A lot of the best "gurus" are people who have much less popular channels. There aren't as many sponsored videos so I don't come away as often wondering if being paid to promote something altered their opinion on it. |

Overall youtube hasn't been too helpful to me personally. There are some great individual videos and individual channels, but they get weighed down by all those beauty gurus who only get subscribers because they are pretty and likable. There's no guarantee of quality or reliable information. You have to spend too much time picking through vids piecemeal to find the good ones. |
