Hi all,

Just curious if any of you have had success getting rid of freckles by having laser treatments, and if so, what type of laser did you use and how much did it cost you?

Your responses are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

My friend just got hers done; I don't know what kind of laser it is but I know that it cost her about US$250 for two freckles. She did go to a highly reputable dermatologist so that might be at the higher end of the scale!

Hello there,
I've had laser treatment done last year.

I went to Laser Clinic in Oakville, Ontario. They charged me $150 for the first 3 visits, and about $50 for each maintenance visit thereafter. There are couple different types of laser, as I am Asian and known to have sensitive skin, Dr. started with the mild laser - Dioxide laser I believe it's called (He called it the Dio). After 2 treatments, I did see some improvement in my complexion, but the freckles were still there. I was about to give up, then he started using the Yag laser, which is a stronger laser. Oh gosh, my cheeks were so red after the treatment. A day later, there were dark brown spots and some redness all over my cheeks. I had to use bandage to cover them up. But 4 days later, the dark spots started to peel off, revealing the beautiful complexion underneath. The freckles were gone!

No side effects at all. The only thing is as freckles/pigmentation is accumulated over time, freckles continue to form. So half a year later, I have new freckles, but this is expected anyways.

I have had amazing results with it, and will likely continue with the treatment!!

Hope this helps!
