I understand this is very difficult to issues to address but has anyone had any success with shirking their pores. After years of acne I’m left with acne scars and huge pores. I have been doing microdremabraisons and TCA peels interchangeably but I don’t see a difference.
Can anyone recommend anything? |

I don't believe there is anything that can actually shrink pores.
Pores do look smaller when your face is well cleansed. Have you tried to a BHA product? This really helps to unclog pores and go within the pores.
TCA peels should help with the scars. AHA (apply at night) also helps. |

This is cheap and really seems to make my pores appear smaller.
I post so infrequently that I cannot post a link.
I bought a bentonite clay mask called aztec secrets Indian Healing clay. I'm sure you can find it on amazon with a simple search
A program of including salicylic acid peels might help also. |

The only thing that helped with mine was multiple acids at once. Lactic & salicylic is the combo that works for my skin. OCMing and using an aluminum oxide scrub every morning also helped.
I know that sounds harsh for daily use, but I guess it depends on how sensitive your skin is. I am very, very gentle and sometimes take a day off. |

Different clay masks certainly help cleanse pores and make them appear smaller.
Niacinamide is supposed to help, as well, but I haven't seen any difference on my skin yet. |

Can you please describe how you do OCM on your skin that helps you reduce pores? I've stopped doing OCM when I saw my pores were getting larger (stretched out) rather than smaller. I'm sure it's because I was doing it incorrectly: maybe rubbing too much or leaving some oil behind. |

Don't be afraid to use a lot of castor oil, first off. That stuff really cleans! I put it on a dry face and gently rub or do the tanaka massage routine. Then I remove it with a wet wash cloth (or just let the shower stream carry it away.) I don't do anything fancy at all, lol. |

Thank you, Chlorophyll! Do you do OCM alone or with double cleansing: OCM with massage followed by cleanser?
I was also wondering if combining OCM with Clarisonic could work for cleaning pores well. I haven't seen much information about this.
I haven't noticed huge results from Clarisonic alone (even though many people claim that it made their pores cleaner), but combined with OCM it might work well. Has anybody tried this? |

I would patch test any oil first. Castor oil is rather heavy and can be a problem for acne prones.
I would also avoid steam if you are prone to broken capillaries, flushing, redness, sensitive skin, etc.
I massage gently and rinse. A soft washcloth helps also.
I mix my formula with emulsifier so it rinses clean. If you do not want to use a cleanser with emulsifier; do a second cleanse with a different (foamy) cleanser to remove residue. |

It helps to use a eucalyptus clay mask as it really cleans the pores. I would suggest a weekly masque if you have time. Also, if you are worried about going out with a large pores, you can camouflage it with L'Oriel Magic Perfecting Base. This is applied before you put any make-up base on and it smooths out the large pores and keep your make-up silky smooth. I hope this helps. Good luck! |

I have been experimenting many skincare products and some of them do work to improve skin tone, complexion...etc. But, shrinking pores seems to be the least effect we can notice after using many many skincare products. |

Is there a particular type you recommend? Also, I assume you mean diluted essential oils, not straight as they are not supposed to be used straight out of the bottle on your skin. |
