I definitely have an ingrown hair right above my knee. It's red, raised, painful and sometimes itchy. I don't see any hair coming out anywhere. I can't believe I got this from shaving my legs a few weeks ago!! So how do I get rid of it, if I can't see the hair? |

I helped me husband a few times...it was horrible! He asked me to use a needle and a plucker to fix that |

Yes, Havana8. I resolved the ingrown hair. I tried a warm compress and squeezed out the hair and it must have fallen out on its own bc the redness is gone. Now I have another one on the back of my thigh which won't be so easy to get to |

I coincidentally developed an ingrown hair at the top of my arm pit that is uncomfortable. I took an aloe vera leaf, washed it, cut a small piece and cut into the middle opening up the gelatinous center, leaving the skin of the aloe on. I placed the gelatinous center on the ingrown hair, bandaged it and left it on over night. The swelling reduced by half and it is more comfortable.
I always grow potted aloe vera plants for skin care. Any time that I have a cut, scrape, burn or most other skin conditions, I apply this aloe vera compress overnight on a daily basis until the injury is healed. It effectively reduces inflammation and noticeably enhances the healing process.
