I wanted to use it on areas of acne scarring and fine lines i already have im mid 20's now and by the sounds of things Retin A is the way to go? Is it safe to use it on the under eye area aswell where my fine lines are getting gradually deeper. |

I have used Retin A for over 30 years, and yes you can apply under the eye area, but you need to start out gently with a weak strength and work up.
Now if you are in your mid 20s then you need to work with a professional derm rather than self medicate otherwise you will run into probems. |

Theresa, how do you feel retin a has helped your skin after all the years of use? |

You really need to use the smallest % on the eye area. I'm using .25% around my eye but 1% on my face. Hot N Flashy did a Youtube review where she showed the difference in her eyes before & after. She said her lids were significantly lifted for a more open eyed look. Retin A is known to promote collagen production and it helps to thicken skin so if you have darkness under or around eyes, over time it will help with that as well as with fine lines. I haven't been using it long enough or consistently enough on my eyes yet to notice a difference but many derms have recommended retin A for the eye area. It just needs to be extremely gentle though. |

Tretinoin is not the only nor the best answer for someone in their 20's.....unless they need to control acne.
I'd suggest a good vitamin C serum, like Vivier's eye contour, serum 5. It'll help rebuild any breakdown in collagen, plus it's AOX and sun-protective at the same time. There's really no downside to a great C, unlike many retinoids.

Barbih..how do you use the vitamin C, do you apply with moisturizer or just by itself? I've gotten my order yesterday, and find its kinda drying? And are the results permanent? |
