Weleda Iris Moisture Cream:
Its been a little over a week of using the Iris Moisture Cream and still no breakouts. My face feels very hydrated but not at all oily. It is just the right amount of moisture for summer but I can tell that I will need a little more for winter...I will probably move on to the Day Cream in a couple months because that is the next heavier moisturizer. Overall I am very happy and will be other products in the iris line. It smells like Dr. H Rejuv mask (so good to me) and a little goes a very long way.
I have also been using:
Weleda Birch Cellulite Oil: This oil is great! It sinks in fast and moistuizes like nothing I have ever seen. I have been using it at night (after dry brush) and in the morning after shower. I havent noticed a difference in cellulite but the tone of my skin is awesome. The smell is a little strong (citrus) but it fades.
Weleda Calendula Lotion: (baby product) I love this lotion as well. I use this on the rest of my body. It goes on like an oil and does take some time to sink in but it moistuizes really well and lasts ALL DAY. I can see this stuff sticking around in my arsenal for a long time.
Side Note:
Desert Essence: Thoroughly Clean Face Wash w. Organic Tea Tree and Awapaui(sp). This stuff makes your face feel squeaky clean but not overly dry. I wish I had found this earlier this summer when my skin was really oily.
I am trying to find more "natural" skincare and Weleda and Desert Essence comes up on most lists as natural/organic/earth friendly etc. and I'm happy that I have found products that are working for me. The last time I went through this I used Dr. H and my skin went crazy...not to mention my pocketbook! |

I agree on Weleda Birch Cellulite Oil. I just finished the bottle and will definitely repurchase.
Also, I use Weleda Calendula baby cream on my son (and sometimes on my hands), and it moisturises really well. |

we haev a houseful of Weleda.. citrus leg gel, skin food, calendula gel, Arnica gel, nasal spray, 3 bath milks, body oils, soap.. um...
With one purchase I was given sample bottles of the Seabuckthorn body lotion, Iris cleansing lotion, and rose toner. The Seabuckthorn was not too bad, quite nice, but not nice enough to make me rush out for a full size. The Iris cleanser I hated.. the smell was gross, it was very hard to remove and my face did not feel very clean.. I also did not like the rose toner much. I am guessing the Iris face cream must smell a bit nicer than the cleanser |

I love Weleda too and have used their face products for many years.
Started with the iris line when I was younger and later I've used their almond face care.
About 2 years ago I've switched to mostly Dr. Hauschka face care but I still use a bunch of Weleda products. Their body and hair care products are really good stuff. |

I think Weleda is good value for money especially if you are on a budget or are not willing to pay the prices of other 'natural ingredient' brands.
I have tried some of Weleda's products and overall am impressed, I am hoping to try more from Weleda |

I have tried Dr. H and it broke me out like crazy...I think the EO in that line made my skin react. I have not had any bad reactions to Weleda and I love that fact that its not breaking the bank every time I repurchase. |

Ooooh ... now I'm dying to try the Calendula lotion!
Someone recommended Skin Food for dry plane air. It's super duper heavy (and SkinCeuticals B5 worked better for the plane) but I love Skin Food on my neck and decotage (sp?).
In fact, Skin Food is the first moisturizer that really made a difference on my neck - it really looks smoother, plumper. |

I tried a little sample of the Weleda Iris line on my hands, it seems nice and similar to the Dr H face cream (but much cheaper).
I was concerned that there is 'alcohol' listed on the ingredients, I think this is plant alcohol, but I am not sure why they would need it in a face cream.. |

I would say it is very similar to Dr. H but I am currently using zenbiotics. I used weleda for a bit and really liked it. It goes on really light...not sure why the alcohol is added. |

I also love the Weleda Birch Cellulite oil. It was absorbed easily.
I have a bottle of the rosemary hair oil, does anyone have idea how to use it? I tried it on dry hair, and it is way too greasy. |

Weleda Calendula baby oil
Rave!! It's so cheap, and soooths my acne skin. It's a thick oil, takes some rubbing in, so it is perfect after the shower before you dry off. It sinks in by the time you towel off and your skin is so smooth. No greasiness. Definately going to stock up on this. |

I really wanted to try Weleda until I looked at their ingredient lists - everything has alcohol in it! |

Most natural lines that don't use parabens contains alcohol as perservative (including Dr. H.). For some people this is not a problem, but some will experience dryness after a while. Personally I stay away when alcohol is among the top 5-6 ingredients as it dries my skin. But most of the oils hardly contain alcohol at all, the little amount I think is due to EOs. |

I like their birch cellulite oil as well. I also have a rose oil from them and it is very nice. I am not so keen on the Iris cleansing lotion. I will not repurchase this product. |

I like Weleda deodorant. I use Rose in winter and Citrus in summer. However, I am not a heavy sweater. My skin does like it.
I tried their hand cream and it is not moisturizing enough. I used to like Perlier Peony hand cream, but have not seen it since I left Chicago and now live in Seattle. It was wonderful, but some people did think the smell was too overpowering. |

I really liked the smell of Skin Food but alas can no longer use because of the oil ingredient (sunflower). |

I have a friend used weleda wild rose intensive facial oil before. She said it is good at the begining, you can feel your wrinkle are getting away slowly. However, when she stop, she found wrinkles are getting away, they are just getting lighter...So I think it may good for prevent wrinkles happened. |

I had a really bad case of perioral dermatitis around my mouth and nose. I was using a cortisone cream as prescribed by my doctor to clear this up , but after 8 months of continued use of this I read that the cortisone only masks the problem and perpetuates it.
After doing some research I came across a number of people who used Weleda Calendula Baby cream. I was skeptical, (but desperate) as it's for nappy rash and I thought this would be much to heavy for the delicate skin on my face. After quitting the cortisones, my skin just went berserk. It was inflamed, intolerable, red and felt like it was burning!! It had endless little rashy bumps, and was dry and flaking as well.
Weleda Calendula cream really helped to soothe and heal it whilst going though this horrible period. It is thick, but I found after massaging it, it sank in. It did soothe, and also seemed to dried out any of the little bumps that wanted to flare up again. I will definitely repurchase this product! |
