My aunt is a skin specialist and she heard about an impact about EMRs even years ago about she hasn't applied it yet. But then, since many of her associates are having their task much easier and she wants to use the system too. She is asking then my help to research more about it in the internet. There are actually online resources to help in choosing quality products online but we are not sure which is reliable or not. Could you help my aunt about getting into paperless too and understand the benefits of EMR? Would it be applicable also to dermatologist like her?

I don't know what EMR is or paperless so can't really say anything here? Maybe others will know what they are?

Thank you for replying. We've since been to a consultant and they've told us that there indeed EMRs for dermatologists too. I found this Meditouch review and it looks like it fits what we're looking for.
EMR is electronic medical record. Perhaps your doctor uses one?

Hi,

New on the forum and looking to go paperless for our clients. Anyone has any tips on a EMR for us? we have checked MERIDIQ and seems pretty good.

Please let me know if there are any developments here!

Thanks,

I'm not based in the US but UK and my GP and Ferm both have options for going paperless. For one, my dermatoligist has a portal where you can log in and make appointments and see the records and xrays which is very good and saves printing and wasting paper. Even prescriptions are sent electronically which saves paper too so its definitely doable, but I think it depends on the clients. My GP is modern and also runs a paperless office, but they do cater for some people who need written prescriptions etc, so I suppose it depends on the needs of the clients really and ultimately.
