I really love the way this cream moisturizes and have never found anything that moisturizes as well. Does anyone know if there is a product similar to this one, but half the price? |

Oh, I would also love to know the answer for this question. I use this product during a winter and it is almost time to reorder, it would be very nice to find a cheaper alternative. |

Havana8 posted many Valmont product ingredients on this thread, you may be able to compare with less pricey options with similar or same ingredient lists.

Sothys might be worth checking out. I tried a sample of the Anti-age Comfort cream-Grade 3 and was surprised how much I liked it. Very moisturizing, soothing and plumped up my skin nicely....was tempted to get the full size.
I haven't used Regenera II before but I would say it was comparable to Valmont's Regenetic cream. |

I am really surprized at the Valmont ingredients- mineral oil, petrolatum ("vaseline" - like mineral oil again), paraffin (wax..they use that in candles too), lanolin (oil from sheep wool).
I know Urea and squalane are good moisturizers- so maybe try Eucerin face creams or complex 15?
I have never really tired Valmont (well did sample a face serum that was very nice, but not nicer than what i already have).
or maybe Nivea that comes in a jar or tin has just as much mineral oil?? |

I agree OS,
I see a ton of inexpensive ingredients at a high price, but I have seen that with many high end skincare lines. |

Is this a face cream? Yikes. I could never use that without breaking out horribly. |

YES it is, I could put axle grease on my face and not break out, however you will find that most high end expensive face creams are loaded with those ingredients. Super cheap and not my idea of what I want on my face any more than axle grease!
Here is another favorite example:
Ingredients in Creme De La Mer
Seaweed (Algae) Extract, Mineral oil Glycerin, Isohexadecane, Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Extract, Microcrystalline Wax, Lanolin Alcohol, Sesame Seed Oil, Eucalyptus Oil, Magnesium Sulfate, Sesame Seed, Medicago sativa (alfalfa) seed powder, Helianthus Annuus (sunflower) Seedcake, Prunus amygdulus dulcis (sweet almond) seed meal, Sodium Gluconate, Potassium Gluconate, Copper Gluconate, Calcium Gluconate, Magnesium Gluconate, Zinc Gluconate, Paraffin, Tocopheryl succinate, Niacin, Beta-carotene, Decyl oleate, Aluminium distearate, Octyldodecanol, Citric acid, Cyanocobalamin, Magnesium stearate, Panthenol, Limonene, Geraniol, Linalool, Hydroxycitronellal, Citronellol, Benzyl salicylate, Citral, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Alcohol Denat., Fragrance (Parfum).
Some good ingredients but second in line Mineral oil which is a byproduct of oil production and has no other use except it is used in a few kitchen appliances, so they sell it cheap to the cosmetic industry. |

Lamer has the same or even better moisturizing effect than Valmont product. However, it is said to not effective for fighting aging. So if you have a young skin and look for a cheaper supplement for Valmont cream, Lamer may be an option. |
