I've noticed a couple of commercial C serums consisting of LAA powder with a seperate serum base that you combine together before use. This seems like a great idea to minimise LAA degradation.
Mostly out of convenience I've been experimenting with making 4oz batches of base serum (everything except the LAA), then each week I mix up an ultra fresh 1/2oz bottle with the LAA added. Using the ultra fine LAA it dissolves within a minute even with quite a viscous recipe (similar to /forum/viewthread.php?p=6516924#6516924).
Are there any other DIYers using a similar approach? Any downsides to this method? |
