Hello!
I am looking for some recommendations to a very light foundations or even better an alternative to one....
I can't stand wearing foundation. I have been working hard on my skin and want to show it off.. to look natural and have that "real skin glow". However, I think I need some light coverage as the pores on my nose seem to have enlarged with age.
Any recommendations for a foundation, powder or illuminator that looks natural? I tried the new Bare Minerals foundations but even that was too heavy and looked like a mask.
I appreciate your time, |

I usually just stick to powders and the ones that I've really liked have been the Physicians Formula powder and the Covergirl powder.
PF has an array of really skin healthy products which is the first thing I look into. The powder is light, but gives enough coverage so you can cover minimal skin aliments such as pores, the occasional blemish, so on.
CG powders give my skin that "matte" look, so if pores are your concern, that would really help. It also helps keep any oiliness at bay.
I'm kind of a minimalist when it comes to makeup, so I'm not familiar with a ton of different brands. The aforementioned brands are the ones I stick to because they don't give me a reason to look elsewhere. |

I went to Sephora recently, and one of the associates who had luminous, natural looking foundation told me she uses Cover FX tinted moisturizer. It looked like she was wearing nothing but had perfect skin tone. It's free of all the common irritants found in cosmetics (looks better than bare minerals to me), and applies very nicely. |

Thank you both - that gives me a starting point.
Really appreciate it |

I've been using Dior's Hydra tinted moisturizer. It provides some decent coverage, but let's your glow shine through. It's hard to find though, the only place I can find it is Shopper's Drug Mart. It's like nothing else I've tried. |
