I have extremely itchy, dry and flaky scalp with a particularly dry patch on my hairline at the top of my forehead. I think this is from years of henna use (now stopped) and feel like I've tried everything to try and re balance. Have tried many products for this inc lots of 'natural' shampoos with no SLS, coconut oil, hard water shampoos and even tried no poo method, ACV rinsed, baking soda etc. Problem is that I like 'washing' my hair and find that a lot of shampoos I've tried as well as not really making a difference to my scalp, make my hair look in really bad condition. Anyone have anything that has worked for them? |

I use Denorex 2-in-1 Shampoo that has 3% Salicylic Acid. It's sulfate-free and it contains conditioning agents so it doesn't strip the life out of hair like most scalp shampoos do. I color nd use a chemical straightener. It also contains menthol which gives that tingle and freshness and helps with itch. I use Nizoral once in a while for a boost when I'm having a flare up. It's drying and contains sulfates. Which isn't often since using DENOREX. It's the only shampoo I use. |

I use cheap & cheerful Optima Tea Tree shampoo & conditioner, bought here in the UK in Holland & Barrett so must be available in H & B US as well. |
