I have two blisters on my face from burns.
They are intact and I will try to keep them from popping because I know that is the best chance of healing well.
I read a few studies that said hydrocolloid bandages provide the best healing, but that was on open wounds. I don't think I want to risk the bandages adhering to the thin blister skin
I am also using neosporin on the burn now that a few days have passed.I plan to keep it as moist as possible until it's healed, but if anyone has any tips, please let me know!
I think it's a superficial burn despite the blisters, but I am nervous about scarring. |

Once the blister ends up popping, don't pull that skin off. It needs to stay on to protect the skin underneath because it's still not healed. It's not going to look pretty and you'll be tempted to mess with it, but the more you do, the risk of scarring increases.
Continue to use Neosporin morning and night. Use Emu Oil if you have that on hand, and if not, use another kind of lotion or oil to put on the area and let it soak in.
The biggest thing you can do is let time heal the wounds. Be gentle with the area until then. |

Thanks! I'm nervous because this morning I woke up to flattened blisters. I think my face pressed on them overnight and so they are no longer sterile.
I'm going to wash once or twice a day with gentle soap and water, then apply neosporin all day.
Really hoping that because I've been using retin a, these will heal faster and not scar |
