Has anyone heard of or used Amla powder? Apparently it is also known as Indian Goosebury? Many people over here have started using it and say it does everything from regrow hair to encouraging hair to go darker (back to natural colour). Not sure I believe it yet - as it seems to be all hype but wondered if anyone on the forum had used it or heard of it?

I've never used it myself but I know that the ladies on an Indian forum all swear by it. It is very cheap to buy in the UK, not sure about in the US, but if Amazon uk sell it I guess Amazon US might also sell it. I know it smells awful, might be a good idea to read the reviews on the Amazon UK site, hope it helps:

Thanks yes I am UK based, and it is something that actually was on TV. So sometimes those things are a lot of hype so was curious to see if I could find anyone on EDS who has used it. Will wait a little while before purchasing.

Hi,

I’ve got it from Amazon after reading recent book from Michael Greger “How not to Die”.

This is not the first time i hear about antioxidant super powers of this berry, but he gave me the idea to buy it in powder form and use it in smoothies.

I've use Amla Powder and it rocks for hair and skin. I also put some in cranberry juice every morning and drink it for a vitamin c boost. I make a face mask once a week with kelp powder and Amla powder and it brightens my skin. Also my hair really loves it. I think the best benefits are from when you take it internally though so it can work from the inside out. Worth a try most definitely.😀

Amla is reportedly a great source of natural vitamin c. I learned about it reading/watching Markus Rothkranz's material. I take it mixed with acerola cherry powder. But I'm curious, are people using it topically for hair and skin? I've only used it as an additive to smoothies, drinks, etc.
