I started using Vitamin C serum on my face to help my discolouration and stuff. I started breaking out but I assumed it was just an initial reaction and thought it would go away. I've been using it for two weeks and the area on my skin I've been using it on has so many little bumps, they're sort of like pimples and I don't know how to get rid them. Does anyone know what I should do? |

What colour is the serum? What are the listed ingredients? Have you had a reaction like this to anything you've put on your face before? |

The serum is clear it's by OZ Naturals. These are all the ingredients:
Water (Aqua), Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Xanthan Gum, Haematococcus Pluvialis Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Water, Glycerin, Tocopherol, Rosa Canina Fruit Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Leaf Extract, Lecithin, Sucrose Stearate, Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate, Citric Acid, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate.
And no I've never had anything like this happen to me before.
Thanks so much for your quick reply! |

I know this is a popular brand on Amazon, but it's really important for people to understand that you should never us a Vitamin C serum that contains sodium benzoate. Sodium benzoate reacts with other compounds and when mixed with Vitamin C, can create Benzene - a nasty carcinogen.
But that's not creating your bumps. My guess is that you're allergic to one of the botanicals. Hopefully you've stopped using it. Find a C Serum that uses another preservative (in a small concentration) or get the stuff to make your own.
I don't understand why companies use some botanicals when there's such a high probability of allergic response. Give us an update in a week or two, okay? |

I guess I should have done more research before purchasing it.. oops. Is there anything that will get rid of the bumps, like a certain type of mask, or do I just have to wait?
Thanks and shall do! |
