Hi everyone,
Long time lurker, first time poster. I have a few questions about facial exercises and I would love any suggestions as well! If I've missed an answer to anything I'm asking that was already covered in a past post, I apologize, I have searched and read through so many threads. But I'm sure I've missed something along the way!
I turned 40 last year and decided it was about time to pull the trigger on facial exercises after reading about them here for quite a while. I bought Ageless and have been doing the "base" exercises 3x a week each for 4 months. Is that the frequency with which most of you would suggest doing it? Also for those of you who do Ageless; how often to you do her extra/supplemental exercises? I really would like to improve my forehead and give my eyes a lift, but the little creases I seem to get from the brow lift exercise terrify me! I have also never done the buccinator exercise. Is that a must? Wondering how I know if I need to do that one. I very much enjoy a rounded look to my face.
Does anyone know if there's an exercise for the bottom lip? I do the Ageless one and am very much liking Carol Maggio's for the top (just started that a week ago) but there doesn't seem to be anything to plump the bottom lip a bit. Would like to keep everything uniform! Also for lips that are starting to curl downward; do you all feel that Ageless is enough, or should I be looking for another supplemental one there?
I currently do:
Ageless + Carol Maggio's Lip Plumper (YouTube version) and Carolyn's Crow's Feet Smoother (also on YouTube)
Tanaka - 6x a week at night when I wash my face.
Yamuna Balls 2-3x a week
I'm considering dermarolling as well as the Facial Detox program. I should probably get back to Retin A and Vitamin C but I was getting weird little skin rashes for a while, so for the last few months I've stuck to a very simple skincare routine (Cerave, Vitamin E and Oil Cleansing). Any other must-do suggestions? My skin is fairly dry/dehydrated. I am also working on losing 20 pounds, so hoping that the base of facial fitness that I've achieved will help me not to have too much sagging, ect when/if the weight comes off.
Thank you so much for reading and for any suggestions! I'm currently searching for some before/after pics to show you guys the small bits of progress I've made. The biggest thing I can see is a reduction in my jowls, which is pretty much the best thing I could've hoped for! Not sure how to post pics yet but will do if I can. xx |
