Hey everyone
I want to try a homemade coffee hair spray recipe. I'm going to simply spray it all over my hair trying my best to reach my scalp (I have long hair), but this got me thinking; what happens when/if the coffee gets absorbed through my scalp? Would it potentially cause problems similar to drinking too much coffee? I drink a lot of coffee as it is, so I am wondering.
Thanks |

Patty,
Our skin is permeable - what we place on it will be absorbed by the skin to some degree. THink of a nicotine patch.
JohnDoe - I cant imagine that your skin would absorb that much coffee to be any type of problem. |

Alright, thanks a lot! I'll go ahead and try it.
Nicotine patch is a very good example |

Hi johndoe1125,
Would you mind to share the recipe?
Until today i've heard only about coffee based masks. Like ground coffee with kefir or with eggs and lemon juice.
How does your spray work?
Thanks |

It's literally just black coffee (for drinking) that I pour in a spray bottle
I just started using it a few days ago, I used it today and yesterday as a final rinse in the shower, but I plan on spraying it throughout the day on my scalp and seeing how that goes. I'll report back if any side effects occur. |
