I had high hopes for this liner. Like many I love gel eyeliner, but find it hard to apply precisely. It cost $38 in Toronto but looked so good on someone else I decided to give it a whirl.
The applicator is the best and worst feature. It is a slanted narrow tube through which the gel squeezes, and when it works it is terrific. Trouble is, it doesn't always work. If you turn the applicator too much, you have to wipe off the expensive product and try again, too little and you run out mid-lid. The liner itself is terrific when you manage to get a good application and it stays in place until you take it off with makeup remover. Eleven out of ten for a long lasting smear and water proof line. Not such a good rating for the applicator. I have struggled with this for about 6 months now, and it is still frustrating. What seems to work best is to prime it a bit buy squeezing the rubber tip to start the gel flow. Sometimes it "globs". I wish it would work, because I love those indestructible lines.
Should this quirk with the applicator get resolved, Benefit would have one heck of a product.
Expensive experiment, expecially when I compare it to Mabelline (above). |

I think I agree with you. It is very hard to apply. |

What does the liner"push-up"? I understand the mascara but really? |

The reason for the name "push up" is because the pen is designed to PUSH the gel-liquid UP by the user twisting the base and it will wet the silicone brush tip. Then you are ready to apply.
I hope that helps.
