I am taking vitamin B complex daily. The best thing it does for me is that my skin gets less oily and more balanced. Right now I am looking for a good and safe anti-oxidant supplement. I tried gnc maximum greens before, but I don't think I get any benefits from that. |

zizi - most of us take so many supplements I don't thing we could nail it down to one that causes glowing. I know I sure can't... The only way you'd know is if you only took that one supplement....
Maybe a greenfood type drink?
will be interested to hear what anyone will have to answer here. |

Definitely an omega EFA supplement by far. |

No-one has mentioned MSM yet. After reading another thread I've been looking at giving it a try but I want to wait until my current routine is well established so I can tell whether it makes any difference to my skin and hair. |

I don't have issues with MSM I do take it, I have seen others with a lot of side effects. Suggestion start out with a low dose when you try it and work up.

I would have to say, for myself, Vitamin C and Flax Seed Oil. Sorry, I can't nail it down to just one. But, I couldn't be without these two supplements even though I do take many, many other ones as well. |

I think after much reading about Vitamins and Supplements, so many work in synergy with one another you really need more then just one to get the benefits you want from taking them in the first place.

Omega 3's for sure!!
Also, this relates more to preventing wrinkles than skin glowing , but L-Carnosine is a must for me. It counteracts glycation, the process that causes cross-linking of proteins, which makes collagen harden and thereby causes wrinkles. |

MSM is a great product but studies indicate for optimal process it needs Vitamin C and possibly also silicon taken in tandem.
I'm sort of going with the green food idea by DK or the omega 3's - Krill oil actually would be my pick here. (If you can only have one). Omega 3's do soooo much for our entire body too.
Yep, I like L- Carnosine also - take one of those everyday - though I suspect the benefits are more intrinsic (benefits come over the long-term but not seen short-term as in glow, etc). |

Well Sis,
I do eat a lot of oranges and sweet red peppers, I was one of the odd kids who lived on fruit and raw veggies, odd since I was a kid in the 50's LOL meat and potato era. But seriously I take C every day as well, I take so many I can't even remember all off the top of my head.

DK: I was veggie kid too. Mom raised on a farm so everything was fresh and she was serious about it! I think it's really maintained my health -the habits, etc.
I take some Vitamin C if I think about it but I do the green smoothie everyday so I figure I'm probably covered. |

I recently had my cholesterol levels tested. My levels of total cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol (bad cholesterol) are low and HDL-chlesterol (good cholesterol) are high. The profile is similar to a person taking statins (cholesterol-lowering drugs). But I'm not on drugs. Either I have good genes or the Krill oil (one capsule) I'm taking daily might be helping to keep the cholesterol levels healthy. |

Sis,
My mom was the meat and potatoes type plus a house full of junk food and soda, I just attacked all the fruits and veggies and drank the orange juice. I used to have to con her into buying V8 because I loved it! She thought I was odd and too skinny, But I was stubborn and when there was something I wouldn't eat for dinner I would grab a salad and a piece of fruit. I think I drove her batty!

I used to work with a publicly irrefutable company, but was coming out with a new skin care supplement called 'Glow Skin' which only the CEO was using at the time which irrefutable or not the product showed its effectiveness. Not sure if it made the shelves or not. |
