Hi all, I know this is probably old news but really looking for advice. I have tried both the recommended alternatives for the laser performance gel but both are rubbish and just do not get a connection like you do with the original gel. The tria gel seems to just dry on the skin and not work. The Anagel is similar. I've tried pure glycerine and it doesn't work at all, feeling frustrated. Am I doing something wrong as I don't see any others complaining? Any advice appreciated before I just sell this device on eBay, really don't want to but seems unusable without the original gel. Thanks guys |

I have been using glycerine for several years now, and it works well for me; not only that it has never clogged the head as did the original product.
Try again with different amounts. I use enough so that I can see a thin layer, and I do not rub it in.
When the layer is too thin I cannot get the green light to shine consistently and then I add a bit more.
Hope this helps.

Having just spent week over exposing my skin in Cuba and arriving in another destination with my reaura in hand but no glycerin I thought no harm in trying what I did have. Coconut oil which I use for my hair. Even better than glycerin beause you don't have to wash it off, just massage it in.
Nicbon, if you are new to reaura it may be your technique - it does require a bit of experimention, particularly on the boney parts like forehead and nose. The dvd provided by Phillips provides some good tips on how to get the necessary long strokes. Sometimes moving your face, not the device, works best. Also reaura is very sensitive to speed of movement, too fast it will not fire, too slow it will not fire. Hope something is now working for you.
Reaura is a great tool once you get the hang of it. |
