Hey everyone!
I have one of those big gallon jugs of pure aloe vera juice (I think it's from Fruit of the Earth), and I wanted to work it into my skincare routine somehow, in addition to starting to drink it, I'm thinking I'll start with 1 tablespoon a day.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to use this? Everything on the internet seems to be about the GEL, which I'm sure is very good, but I'm wondering about the JUICE.
Maybe a very simple DIY serum, like 50/50 AVJ and distilled water? Or maybe even pure AVJ?
Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks! |

Is it 100% pure with nothing added? |

Well, it's 99.8% pure aloe vera juice, ingredients are:
Organic aloe vera gel (water and aloe vera gel concentrate), citric acid, sodium benzoate (a food preservative at 1/10 of 1%).
No sugars, starches or sweeteners. |

You might want to goggle citric acid, sodium benzoate topically. It's not likely to cause any harm at those low percentages but it's good to know. |

Well I just don't know what to use, I know aloe vera GEL is recommended, but most of those I saw have carrageenan (as a thickening agent I guess), which I want to avoid. I wonder which of these is the lesser of two evils, then I guess I'll use that
Is there any brand of aloe vera gel without all that weird stuff, or is the only way I'll get that is to buy the leaf and fillet it myself?
I found a tube from "Lily of the Desert" with the following ingredients:
99.5% certified organic aloe vera gel, carbomer 940, vitamins A, C, and E.
That actually sounds fine, but...Is there no such product without anything added? |

I get my aloe vera gel from a company based in Wales, UK, called Naissance, here is the link:
www.enaissance.co.uk/natural-ingredients/aloe-vera-gel a 5kg tub costs £46.99 but you can contact them direct & ask all the questions you want, e.g. do they have an outlet in the US?? |
