Hello all!
I have hard, alkaline water at home. The area where I live is notorious for it. Even water softener and filters only do so much.
In that light, I have taken on the very diva-ish habit of using aerosol spray thermal spray waters to wash the cleanser off my face. I've found two nice acidic, lesser known, ones from France and Italy which are pH 4.6 and 5.5. Despite it seeming like going to extreme measures, the difference between using this and tap water is extraordinarily notable for me.
I was wondering if anyone could chime in on an idea of mine: creating low pH water at home by use of distilled water and lactic acid to adjust the pH. The distilled water I get tends to be neutral or just very slightly acidic. I thought lactic acid would be a good one as its conditioning in comparison to Apple Cider Vinegar. Or, would the amount I'd have to use to adjust pH be detrital to the skin? I plan to mix enough up in a spray bottle once per week.
Thanks in advance! |
