Do you apply a facial oil before or after your moisturizer? I've seen some say before or after.
Thanks.

You will find different views - but that's because different people have difficult goals, genetics and skin conditions. So for example, I got dry skin, so for me I apply moisturizer and then an oil to help seal in the moisture and prevent my skin drying out. For others, if they were dealing with say acne, they might put an oil for that on first and then follow with the moisturizer. Same with people with inflamed skins etc. There is a reason that people make these recommendations - and usually its due to one of those factors.

I apply my Monsia day moisturizer with SPF15 and then the vit E oil to seal in the moisture. I only do this in the winter when the heating is on. |

I apply my oil before moisturizer when needed. |

My rule of thumb is always to go thinnest to thickest..for instance, serums before lotions and lotions before oils.
That seems to work best for penetration. |

I always thought thinner to thickest too but would have put oil before or after a serum rather than after a thick cream. That was why I was confused but sealing in the moisturizer made sense too. |

What about something that is classified as a dry oil? Would you layer that different than a heavier face oil? |

Oh definitely after moisturizer!
You want to "lock" the moisture in with an oil, the more natural, the better. e.g. virginic moroccan oil. it's super nice. |

Thank you. I have never used moroccan oil before. Is it really that effective? |

moroccan oil= argan oil. My skin breaks out pretty easily, especially when I use oil, but I've noticed that with this one my skin is fine. hope that helps |

My beautician recommends me to clean the face first, then to apply oils and moisturizing creams. |

I tend to agree with her too!
Cleanse-tone-oil-blot (if necessary)- serum- moisturizer
