Has anyone used the Obagi C FX (Hydroquinone free) system? I've used Nu Derm several times and it's just so unbearable. It works, but my skin feels so tender by the end of 3-4 months, I don't want to do it again!

I still have considerable hyper pigmentation but would like to a less aggressive system. I'm debating between the Obagi C FX and Obagi C RX. I'd prefer the least aggressive system that still can produce results.

If anyone has experience with either system, I'd love to hear your results!

I'm with you. I used NuDerm years ago and loved how my skin looked at the end of three moths.
But, as most everyone does, I stopped using it and dread ever doing it again. I did some reading on Dr. Obji.. and his new line addresses the fact that most women didn't keep up the obaji protocol because of the red peeling and aggressive nature of the products.

I know! It's such a tough system. I was on it for a couple of years - alternating between using the whole system and the maintenance program (and I'd get peels and microdermabrasion - WAY TOO MUCH!). After 2 years, my skin started to look WAY worse. Incredibly sensitive, "thin" feeling, large pores and so, so dry. It was always red, peeling, and irritated. I was ruining my skin with such harsh ingredients and procedures.

I switched to SkinMedica Lytera and it did nothing. Within a few months my whole face was covered in melasma. Way worse than it was before I began the NuDerm system.

It's been another 2 years since I used Obagi and I've gotten my melasma somewhat under control with diligent SPF, niacidimde and Vit C but it still needs a little "umph" to get it clear.

I haven't had a peel or microderm in 2+ years. I feel like all it did was make my skin more sensitive to the sun in the long run.

I'm trying to strike a balance between effective but gentle. It's such a struggle - and an expensive one! I wish I just knew the answer!

I've been into essential oils lately. Frankincense is supposed to lighten brown spots on the face. I've been using that in a carrier oil and added some drops to my foundation. I just started about a month or six weeks ago.. I see it somewhat working..but need to give it more time.

I think I'm going to do some TCA peels ..I'd rather do those and get it done in a week or so instead of the constant red face peeling of obaji.
