I am loving my Nuxe products for day but still looking for something very hydrating and that maybe has some ingredients that help with aging or at least strengthening the skin to use at night. Many of the good active ingredients don't seem to work well for super sensitive, reactive skin. Niacinamide seems to be an ingredient that, while it is supposed to be good for sensitive skin, does not work for me at this point. Fragrance doesn't bother me unless it seems obnoxious (Pevonia Rosacea products - wow!).
Since I seem to have better luck with French products I was looking at Phytomer and Decleor. Does anyone have any experience good or bad that they could share? Thanks. |

Well I heard that before but I haven't tried myself yet. From what I have read also it is a great product. Maybe I will have to check out more on it to see if it is great for me too. |

I was able to get some samples ordered for a couple products from both Decleor and Phytomer. It seems like many sensitive skin products are more for normal, combination or oily skin rather than dry. I have some samples coming from Sothy's, Luzern, Obagi, and some others too. I am determined to find something that really hydrates my skin without irritating it and turning it red. And a product that also has some anti-aging benefits which is challenging when I react to Vit C (alone), Niacinamide, and who knows what else. I'd like to get to a point that I can use an OTC low level of retinol every couple of nights but I am a long way off. So far I have a couple possible - Epionce Renewal (a bit thin and would be better in a tube or pump top) and Crème de la Mer (a bit too thick/occlusive for every night).
Any other dry and sensitive people? |

Decleor Angelique is my go to for hydration and overnight soothing. Love the smell, feel and a little goes a long way. I haven't had to buy any in a long time, just a little dab will do it. |

AnnieR - Thank you for the info. The Decleor Angelique sounds great but it looks like it has been discontinued. I have a travel bag of Decleor coming but not sure which aromaessence is in that pack. Do you use the Angelique alone or with a moisturizer? |

You can still find it on Amazon. It has been a while since I have had to buy it since a little goes so far!
I use it alone. It just melts in. |

There is a brand called Eminence Organics. I received a couple of samples last time, the cream for sensitive skin is quite good in my opinion. The good thing is can be mixed with water to dilute it if it is too rich as per the instruction. The price is on par of decleor. This brand have quite a number of creams. Not sure how dry is your skin condition, can ask for sample or recommendation. |

I've tried a couple of Eminence products. The Calming one wasn't hydrating enough. I also have the Coconut one but I had some redness and warmth when I tried it. That was when I was not far off of the really bad sensitive spell. I could try it again now that things have settled down quite a bit. I saw somewhere to order small sizes of many products to try out. |

The dryness varies but right now my forehead is super dry even after moisturizing. I feel like many moisturizer seal in moisturizer but that doesn't help if you don't have any. So I need something really hydrating and plumping. I have more things coming this week. I am hoping to find something soon that helps. I might just use the Nuxe I have at night too while I am testing to ease the dryness. |

A couple new products arrived yesterday and both have hope of helping with the dryness.
I did half my face with each last night and will continue to test these out.
Obagi Hydtrate Luxe - initially seems to be more hydrating and no smell that I noticed.
Cellex-C GLA Extra Moist - also seemed to do a nice job of soaking in yet still hydrating. It had a little bit of a smell but that went away quickly.
Interesting - the first 4 ingredients of these are the same. Price-wise - Very close but the Cellex-C has a little more product in the jar although the real test would be in how much is needed. I don't think price is enough of an issue between these to matter. It would be different if comparing this to a $150 product.
I am so happy to wake up without my skin feeling tight and dry - or waxy. I'm not sure if either really has any anti-aging benefits which was my reason for looking for something other than the Nuxe Reve de Miel for night. Nuxe will be harder to get now although I am stocked up for a while with my morning Nuxe products. We'll see what happens with these. |
