I just discovered this also and love it. Australian Gold Botanical right? Goes on easily, leaves a beautiful finish and the price is amazing. Plus it is water resistant for 80 minutes. My new favorite! |

Houston we have a problem. On the Environmental Working Group website on sunscreens they rate it a 7 out of 10 with 10 being the worst sunscreens. Darn. I was afraid it was to good to be true. |

I don't always agree with the EWG. What is the reason for the low rating?
Does anyone have the full list of ingredients? |

It is rated a 6 out of 10 with 10 being the worst ( I double checked). It's saying it does not provide the amt of SPF stated on the tube and that it contains several possibly harmful ingredients. |

I tried this yesterday for the first time. It went on smoothly and easily. I generously applied every 30 minutes while driving for 2 hours. But— I still got burnt. It does not have enough zinc in it to be effective.
It was extremely difficult to remove. Because I’d applied so often, I was wearing several layers. I had to use 3 different products and a lot of effort to remove it.
Maybe it would work for people with more melanin, but was a big disappointment to me. |

Active ingredients:
Titanium Oxide 4%
Zinc Oxide 4%
How can they achieve an SPF = 50 with this % of actives is a mystery to me.
I agree it is an elegant sunblock but one has to apply a ZnO sunblock on top for better protection. |

This is now available in Canada. (Much lower price in the US.)
If the tint is acceptable I would wear this OVER another SS product. I agree the lower active ingredients are quite low.
Is the tint acceptable for fair (cool) skin people? I usually wear the lightest shade if wearing drug store foundation. I prefer mineral.
I did read an article years ago that anti-oxidants were included to boost the SPF rating. |
