I have used the Dermaroller and the MyM by far and in my opinion the Derminator is the least painful and most effective and efficient one that I have used on myself. The Derminator didn't drag or overheat as the MyM did the ability to program in skin area length and width and time assures even needeling on areas such as eyes or cheeks. Instead of multipal purchase rollers to fit tight areas the small cartridge fits perfectly into tight areas such as the eyes , both top lids and close to lash lines. I had a very difficult time using a 1 Mm roller even with lidocaine I felt the pain much too intense and the marks took a long time to heel. This has not been my experience with the Derminator. On my second Needeling I used the 1mm needles at the entire prefery of my face with no discomfort. The marks that are left behind look no different than the marks made elsewhere by .5 or .25 sort of rash like. The unit itself appears to be quite sturdy, and is easy to clean, I repeat it did not heat up. The led read out was bright and easy to see and use. The Derminator comes with an 18 month guarantee. My first unit had a problem with the led readout not working properly. I reported it, and the next day a new machine was sent to me. I am very please with my Derminator and do not hesitate recommend it to others. |

Thanks for the detailed review. One thing I read on owndoc's site that I thought was key about the Derminator is that it just punches, it doesn't leave tear marks like a competitor. Owndoc used both on a piece of paper, and you can easily see the difference. I've been using a cheap My M pen, but am concerned about tearing, which is something we definitely don't want. |

Sarah claimed her cartridges were reusable ,so a member on skincare boards posted a closeup picture of the needles and they were as straight as the first usage! But covered with skin tissue. So after she cleaned the cartridge she puts it in a sonic cleaner and it removes the gunk! You can view her posting on skincare boards.com . |

I reuse the cartridge 2-4 times until it feels like the cartridge isn't passing as smoothly over the skin so the needles are getting dull. I use a cotton bud soaked in rubbing alcohol to wipe off any blood and skin cells. Rinse the cartridge under fast running hot water for about a minute or two, then soak for a few hours in rubbing alcohol. Let air dry. |
